This course is designed for anyone looking to spend more time learning the basics of wheel throwing and/or handbuilding. It runs over six weeks, with one class each week.

 

This course is structured in two cycles, allowing you to practice, glaze, learn from the results, and try again:

• Weeks 1 & 2 (Throwing): Learn the fundamentals of the wheel —centering and shaping your forms. (Optional: You can choose to dedicate time to handbuilding).

• Week 3 (Glazing): Glaze the pieces you made in the first two weeks.

• Weeks 4 & 5 (Throwing): Return to the wheel (or handbuilding) to build on your skills and create new forms.

• Week 6 (Glazing): Your final glazing session, giving you a second opportunity to practice and improve your glazing skills.

Each class is around 3 hours long. By the end of the course, you'll have a small collection of finished, glazed pieces to take home.
